This deck focuses on Special Summoning Zombie-Type monsters from the graveyard. The Deck has a lot of powerful cards which can Special Summon Zombie-Type monsters from the graveyard such as “Book of Life” , “Zombie Master” and “Mezuki” as well as generic graveyard revival cards such as “Call of the Haunted”.
A key card in this deck is “Plaguespreader Zombie”, a Zombie-Type Level 2 tuner. This card opens up powerful level 6 synchros such as “Brionac, the Ice Barrier Dragon” and “Goyo Guardian”.
Zombie World
Some variants of the Zombie deck run “Zombie World.” This is a powerful field spell which turns every monster in both players’ graveyards into Zombie-Type monster. This allows you to revive monsters which were previously non-zombie from your graveyard with cards like “Book of Life” and “Mezuki”. Due to “Zombie World” also affecting the opponent’s graveyard you can also use cards such as “Zombie Master”, “Paladin of the Cursed Dragon”, and “Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon” to revive your opponent’s monsters and use their own monsters against them! “Zombie World” also shuts down tribute summoning for both players, stopping your opponent from tribute summoning powerful Edison staples such as “Caius the Shadow Monarch”, but be careful as “Zombie World” will also shutdown your tribute summons too!
Other Strong Cards in the Zombie Deck
Other strong cards include Pyramid Turtle which can special summon any zombie monster with 2000 def or less from your deck when it is destroyed by battle, Zombie Goblin which can search for a zombie type monster when it is sent to the graveyard (be careful about missing the timing), Spirit Reaper which cannot be destroyed by battle and can rip cards from your opponent’s hand.
Cards like Armageddon Knight, Dark Grepher, Foolish Burial and Ryko can fill up your Graveyard with cards for you to revive.
Dark Armed Dragon is viable in the zombie deck due to sufficient amount of DARK monsters run in the deck, the deck’s ability to manipulate the Graveyard (Dark Armed Dragon needs EXACTLY 3), and the deck’s ability to fill up the Graveyard quickly with lots of DARK to use for Dark Armed Dragon’s effect. Mystic Tomato can be seen run in the Deck to help with the Dark Armed Dragon Strategy.

Shutendoji is an underrated/ Overlooked card that works well in zombie decks allowing you to recycle plaguespreader and mezuki. You could also run archfiend’s oath to draw the cards you return to the top of your deck.
