Edison Deck – Dragon

The Dragon deck is an easy-to-use deck that can be competitive and also beginner friendly. Let’s look at a few of the key cards of the Dragon deck.

Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon is a level 10 Dragon-type monster with 2800 ATK that can be special summoned from your hand by banishing a face-up Dragon-type monster on your side of the field. Once per turn, REDMD lets you special summon one dragon-type monster from your hand or graveyard! This leads to endless options; you could special summon another strong beatstick such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon, special summon Prime Material Dragon to protect your monsters from destruction effects, special summon a Dragon-type tuner for setting up synchro summons, or special summon Koa’ki Meiru Drago shutting down both players ability to special summon LIGHT and DARK monsters! (Excellent against a huge amount of decks: Blackwings, Lightsworns, Fairies etc.)

Future Fusion

Another key card is Future Fusion a continuous spell that let’s you send fusion materials from your deck to your graveyard and special summon the corresponding fusion monster on your 2nd stand-by phase after activate. A very good card in any fusion deck, Future Fusion becomes an amazing deck in Dragon Decks! This is due to the card, Five-Headed Dragon which requires 5 Dragon-type monsters, meaning Future Fusion will let you send 5 Dragon’s to the Graveyard! This set’s up any Dragon you want to special summon from the Graveyard using REDMD’s effect. Also when activating future fusion you can send REDMD and Red-Eyes Wyvern to your Graveyard letting you special summon REDMD from the graveyard using Wyvern’s effect! (Just make sure you do not normal summon that turn in order to use Wyvern’s effect.) Another card you can send to your graveyard is white stone of legends which let’s you add a Blue-eyes White Dragon to your hand when it’s sent to the Graveyard. Dragon’s Mirror can be used to fusion summon another Five-Headed Dragon!
