The Fairy Deck focuses on fairy-type monsters and it’s Boss Monster/ Centerpiece: Archlord Kristya.
Archlord Kristya is a Level 8 Fairy monster with 2800 ATK. It can be tribute summoned OR it can be special summoned from your hand if you control EXACTLY 4 Fairy-type monsters in your Graveyard. When Archlord Kristya is on the field neither player can special summon monsters! This completely shuts down many Edison decks’ major plays! (Synchro Summons, Judgment Dragon, DAD, Fusions etc.) When Kristya is sent from the field to the graveyard it returns to the top of your deck. This makes it hard for your opponent to get rid of. Also, every time Kristya is special summoned you add one fairy type monster to your hand, thereby generating card advantage!
Other Key cards of the deck
Other key cards of the deck include: Shining Angel, Nova Summoner, D.D Warrior Lady (note: Warrior-type), Dimensional Alchemist, Honest, the LV2 fairy tuner monster: Herald of Orange Light, and the level 6 Soul of Purity and Light.
Shinning Angel special summons a LIGHT monster with 1500 or less ATK in attack position from your deck when destroyed by battle, and Nova Summoner summons a LIGHT fairy-type with 1500 or less ATK from your deck when destroyed by battle. These cards help fill the graveyard with the required 4 fairy monsters needed for Kristya, as well as search key cards. These key cards include Herald of Orange Light which opens the deck up for synchro summons, D.D. Warrior Lady, which banishes itself and the monster it battles, and Dimensional Alchemist.
Dimensional Alchemist can banish the top card of your deck in order to increase it’s ATK by 500 temporarily. When destroyed, it let’s you add one of your banished monster cards to your hand. With plenty of monster cards being banished due to Dimensional Alchemist, D.D. Warrior Lady, and Soul of Purity of light, there is plenty of cards to choose from. Often, you will be able to cycle through copies of Dimensional Alchemists.
Soul Of Purity and Light banishes 2 light monster’s from your graveyard giving you a way to manipulate the number of Fairy monsters in your graveyard in order to have EXACTLY 4 in your graveyard for Kristya’s summoning condition. Also by being a LV6 Special Summon you can normal summon Herald of Orange Light in order to summon a strong level 8 Synchro monster.
An excellent card for manipulating Fairy monsters in the Graveyard is the trap card Beckoning Light.
