“Lightsworns” are a series of LIGHT Monsters focusing on milling cards from the top of your deck.
The Lightsworn strategy generates advantage through milling cards from the top of your deck to the graveyard and will often run cards that want to sent to the grave such as “Plaguespreader Zombie”, “Necro Gardna” and “Wulf, Lightsworn Beast.”
Milling cards also allows you to revive strong monsters using cards such as “Call of the Haunted” or “Glorious Illusion”.
You can also add cards to your hand from your graveyard hand using cards such as “Monster Reincarnation” and “Beckoning Light.”
Sending cards to the graveyard also fills your grave with fodder for summoning cards such as “Chaos Sorcerer”.
The star of the Lightsworn strategy is “Judgment Dragon”, a monster that can only be special summoned from your hand by having 4 or more differently named “Lightsworn” monsters in your graveyard.
Judgment Dragon has a whopping 3000 ATK and has an effect where you can pay 1000 LP to destroy ALL other cards on the field! This makes Judgment Dragon a formidable monster to go up against, and can quickly end games, however beware of cards such as Starlight Road!
