Edison Deck – Elemental Hero

The Elemental Hero Deck focuses on summoning powerful fusion monsters such as Elemental Hero Absolute Zero using cards such as Miracle Fusion, Polymerisation, Fusion Gate and Future Fusion. The Archetype’s own fusion spell card: Miracle Fusion is a powerful card, which allows you to use monsters in your graveyard as fusion materials. The Elemental Hero Deck is open to endless creative avenues, both competitively and casually.

Elemental Hero Absolute Zero

Many Elemental Hero decks will run the extremely powerful Elemental Hero Absolute Zero.

Before the release of Absolute Zero many E-Hero Fusions required you to run bad main deck monsters (Avian, Burstinatrix) for an unworthwhile payoff (Flame Wingman etc.). Absolute Zero could not be further from this! Absolute Zero has flexible fusion materials: Any Hero (yes, even Destiny Heroes and Evil Heroes!) + any WATER monster, a respectable 2500 ATK, and an effect which destroys all opponent’s monsters when Absolute Zero leaves the field!

When running Absolute Zero the question every duelist asks is: “Which WATER monster should I run?”, as the WATER attribute is not as well represented in the game as other attributes such as DARK and LIGHT monsters. However there are a few options.

The Hero Archetype itself already has 3 water monsters: “Bubbleman”, “Ocean”, “Ice Edge”. These monsters can be used as the Hero monster or the WATER monster for the fusion summon! They also have the benefit of being searchable by cards (which you are likely already running) such as “Reinforcement of the Army”, “E-Emergency Call” and “Elemental Hero Stratos”.

In my opinion, another option for WATER monster (which I think is massively underrated / completely overlooked) is King of the Swamp.

This card can act as the WATER fusion material for Absolute Zero, and if it is in your hand you can discard it (which sets up your graveyard for Miracle Fusion) to search your deck for Polymerization. This gives the card good utility and flexibility in the deck.

However, the most commonly run water monster is the level 2 tuner “Deep Sea Diva”. This opens up the deck to Synchro Summoning.

When normal summoned “Deep Sea Diva” can special summon a level 3 or lower Sea Serpent-Type monster from your Deck.

This allows for essentially a one card Synchro Summon, while also stocking the graveyard with WATER monsters for Miracle Fusion!

If you already have a level 4 monster on the field you can normal summon Diva and Special Summon a powerful level 8 Synchro Monster Such as Stardust Dragon, Thought Ruler Archfiend, Colossal Fighter or Red Dragon Archfiend.
